Minecraft: Update Delayed?

We were told that the Adventure Update for minecraft is most likely going to be delayed as it was supposed to be released today.

Bergensten the Back-End developer for minecraft said in his tweet “Looks grim to get a release out on 8th. We need more testing, one day is not enough. And we never release on fridays… I’ll keep you posted”

Fair enough but I think that the Adventure Update is still really close maybe within a week or two.
